Whatever happened in the past. Now we are left with only 7-8 big festivals which every Indian celebrate them with full joy and energy.
So let us see what Indian like to wear at these festivals.
- DIWALI: It is that festival in India which every Indian wait for the arrival of this festival. No matter from which religion a person might be, everyone indulges themselves in the joy of this festival.
People usually wear kurta-pajama or sherwani at this festival.
This is the royal festival. Everything should be royal. So why not dress. That's why people like wearing royal lookalike dresses. After all, some selfies and family photos need to happen. You can't afford to look dull when everyone is hanging around in their sherwani's and kurta pajamas enjoying the moment.[SEE SIMILAR BY CLICKING ON IMAGES]

Basically, I have seen. Muslim peoples wearing plain white kurta-pajama but also I've seen people wearing a very designer kurta-pajama too with lots of work done on kurta to them stand apart from plain kurta-pajama.

- HOLI: My most favorite festival it is. Holi, the festival of colors. It is the most joyful and filled with energy festival. People throw colors on each other. Paint them, throw water balloons and kids play with a water pistol or you can say "Pichkari" in Hindi.
So the best and sure way to make your self bath in those color is that you must wear a cloth which glitters all your colors on cloth. And that is white cloth.
It can a white T-shirt or a white shirt. But what traditionally Indian people wear is White kurta-pajama. Rest is up to you, after all, cloth you'll be wearing is going to get dirty.
- RAKSHA-BANDHAN: It is a festival which is dedicated to every Indian brothers and sister. Indian family celebrates this festival with so much ease. This Indian traditional festival has been a part of Indian culture for so long.
If you are wondering what you should wear this Raksha-Bandhan. See, you can wear anything good you want to wear. But if it comes to traditional Indian wear then I would suggest you, to go with a Nehru jacket, Dhoti-kurta or Sherwani.
Also, do not forget to gift a big teddy bear this Rakhi to your sister.
- BHAI-DOOJ: This festival also resembles with Raksha-Bandhan. The difference is only that, Rakshan-Bandhan is for sister and Bhai-Dooj is for brothers.
This festival has the same ritual as Raksha-Bandhan has. So, it all the same as Raksha-Bandhan. Also in Rakshi festival, a sister ties a rakhi on their brother's palm but in this sister ties a red sutra (thread) for protection of brother's love.
